A Brief History of Time

The difference between art and functional objects. An awareness of the discrepancies between art and reality. Art can never come close to reality. Reality can not be described or portrayed altogether. Neither seems reality to be understood fully. Our ambitions can not be more than attempts that are very volatile in its fixed-term nature.

What the sculptures may be sliding them between meaning and presence. A double meaning and an absent presence. The sculptures are concrete but suggests no suspense to discover.

The works is a simulation, a model. Manageable thumbnails of what's happening out there, modeled after their own experiences and interpretations. In the psychological literature is often said that modelers are better prepared for the real world.
