COPIES ON A STROLL is an exhibition that consists of painted copies and fragments of a remembered mining area; a landscape that because of human interaction is in the state of constant transformation.
I am concerned with perspective and displacement, and try, through the process of painting, to understand how all things can moveand changein relation to my physical position in the landscape. The work Insight phase 2, consists of “liberated” excerpts from a larger painting. Copies of copies of a changing mining landscape are forming a new and independent experience of nature in the gallery.
